A design studio based in Preston, Lancashire. UK.
We design and make high quality bespoke products inspired by the language of flowers
and the traditional craft of stained glass.
All of the Florio products and mirror designs are hand made to order. We have a range of flower designs, or you can commission your own. All of our flower designs can be applied to small or large mirrors or glass / acrylic surfaces, including interior windows and doors or screens including crittal.
Our mirror sizes currently range from our smallest dressing table mirror (approx 480 x 300mm / 19"x12") to our larger leaning wall mirrors but if you would like to commission a custom size please contact us.
THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS
When you commission a Florio product you can choose a flower for an occasion such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday or to communicate a message of your choice.
As you may well be aware flowers have meanings. Roses for example can have multiple meanings, such as 'I love you' but they can also say 'you are beautiful' or represent 'respect'. A white rose has several meanings including 'truth', 'protection' and 'honesty'.
We like to think we are knowledgable on the meanings of the majority of flowers but we still love learning all the time! Please see the meanings list for a selection of some of the most popular flowers and their associated meanings.
We also show the flowers that represent each month of the year- perfect for weddings (we can design from the chosen bouquet and wedding flowers), anniversaries and birthdays to mark and remember the important dates and people in your lives.
All of this information is presented and included with your final designed product along with a personalised card, envelope and care instructions, carefully packaged, crated and shipped to you within 6-8 weeks of ordering.
I had a wonderfully collaborative process with Elizabeth. Her knowledge and experience of flowers and design meant the finished product was better than anything I could have imagined. The mirror is our hallway and makes me smile every time I walk in the front door or come down the stairs. It's a beautiful custom made mirror and Elizabeth is an exceptionally talented artist.
